Some insight on the event and organization

    What is SASE Jr. Conference?

SASE Junior High School Conference is a half day event in which high school students from all over San Diego will get a change to attend multiple workshops. These workshops are designed to introduce and explore STEM majors that high school students may not have heard of before. High school students will also have a chance to discover multitude ways college undergraduates devote their time on their extra-curricular life.

    What is SASE Jr.?

SASE Junior is an initiative created to help high school students better understand STEM fields and learn how to create their own individual impact. The long-term goal is to develop a multi-level mentorship program that will connect SASE members, from high school to professional level. SASE Jr. Chapter will work hand-in-hand with a sponsoring collegiate chapter to host events with and for their members to facilitate a mentorship program between college and high school students, which can grow to include professionals, graduate, and medical students.

    What is SASE?

The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) was founded in November 2007 to help Asian heritage scientific and engineering professionals achieve their full potential. Organizations existed for other affinity groups - The National Society of Black Engineers, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers – and there was a need for a similar organization where students representing all of the pan Asian cultures could connect and support each other.
